Quotation alignment: Equipment scope
Ask each factory to restate feed basis, motor kW, and whether aspiration, bran handling and loaders are inside the quoted unit. A shortlist that only names company size is not comparable. Throughput without grain state and test conditions is incomplete. Tooling here means screens, spare rolls and alignment fixtures, not a mold.
Price exclusions
Flag fans, ducts, filters, installation, shipping, training, commissioning and SAT travel when they are absent. Aspiration that meets the machine static-pressure figure is often extra. Those gaps are comparison items, not hidden discounts. Spare parts lists should say which belts and screens are included.
Response basis
A usable manufacturer response restates performance on the named sample, airflow in m³/min, static pressure in kPa, and included documents. This service does not sign FAT or SAT. Owner acceptance remains with the buyer after contract language is written.
Remaining buyer inputs include work envelope, footprint, three-phase supply, connected load, PLC interface names, optional budget (currency, per-unit or whole-order) and supplier preference (premium, mid-range, budget-friendly, or not sure). Preference is a buyer selection, not a verified factory rating.
Single-machine quotes and complete-line quotes should not share one total unless husking, separation, whitening and polishing duties are named. Nominal catalog t/h and validated output on a measured sample are different numbers; request test conditions. Machine price and installed project cost are also different: tooling, shipping, utilities, installation and spare parts should sit on separate lines. Changeover between varieties is a documented duty, not an implied free option.
An open manufacturer sheet dated 2026-09-17 that lists brown-rice feed in t/h, power in kW, airflow in m³/min and static pressure in kPa is used only as a unit checklist. It is a Satake SSW reference observation, not a universal rating and not an affiliation. Viscosity language does not apply; feedstock here is rice grain and moisture. Positioning of bran outlets is confirmed on drawings, not inferred from a photograph. Supply frequency in Hz must match the US plant if a three-phase cabinet is included.
Who supplies aspiration and connects it to the machine pressure requirement should be written on every comparable reply. If the factory quotes only the whitener body, fans and bran bags remain buyer or third-party lines until restated. Compressed air demand applies only if a pneumatic gate is listed; cooling water applies only if a cooled drive is in scope.
